WOW!!!

Today we took 2 kids...YES! 2 kids to the doctor. Both did amazingly well. Nathan smiled the whole time...proud big brother.

I took Nate, our little love bug, last month for his preschool exam and since then he has gained an inch. ONE whole inch. I can't believe how tall he's getting. He weighs the same and is only in the 50th percentile for his weight, but I'm sure he'll break that next time we go in. He loves all of the things that the doctor has...time for a doctor's kit. When it came time for his shot he sat down next to Pooh Bear (thank you, Mary Costa) and Sissy. He even smiled after he got the shot. Wow! What a difference from a few months ago. Can it be the my child actually likes going to see Dr. Joshi?

Emerson, our darling girl. Mommy and Daddy can't believe how fast you are growing. In a week Em has managed to put on a pound and an inch. So for those of you keeping track...9 lbs. 8 0z. and 22 inches long. Breastmilk seems to be doing her body good. The doctor and the nurse were very amazed at how alert and strong she is. She doesn't want to miss anything...just like Nate. She was very happy to show off and didn't cry either. Of course, she didn't get any shots. But maybe I'll get lucky and both kids will like going to the doctor's. A mother can hope.

***Sears***

As many of you know we went to Sears on Monday to get pictures of Emerson and Nate. We were there for 2 hours. Jerry is a saint, following around a tired 2 1/2 year old. Nate and Emerson are ANGELS!!!! We survived only because our kids are very patient. Emerson was awake the whole trip there and during the whole photo session. The lady kept saying that she wanted pictures of her sleeping. I told her good luck. Nate was awake his first photo session, too.

If the pics weren't so gorgeous we would have been mad, not just frustrated.

My little Emerson and Nathan

Oh, my little ones! I'm so amazed at how wonderful you two are! Our little Emerson Leigh was born on May 19th. Weighing in at 8lbs. 8oz. (I was shocked) and 21 inches. long. She came out crying and as beautiful as can be. She has black hair and dark blue eyes...so far.

Emerson is so peaceful and calm. Big brother, Nate loves kissing, hugging, and holding her. What an amazing thing to see Nate and Emerson together.

When I have more time I'll blog about everything else...baby Em is calling me.

Boxes are fun

Jerry and I bought a new rocker recliner today :) It's so comfortable. But the best part of buying the chair was the box it came in. Nate and I made it into a house. We drew on it and cut little windows out. Currently Nathan and Ringo are in there with a blanket...in case Ringo gets cold---Nate's idea.

39 weeks

My body definitely is getting ready to have the baby. The doctor said that her head is very low...woo hoo! But I know from experience that this is a waiting game, so I know she can come now or in 2 weeks.

We are spending our last days swimming, eating fruit snacks, walking, playing, and anticipating. We can't wait to share our fun with sissy!

And best of all we had a visit from Uncle John...Jerry's Uncle. We had a blast hanging out with him. Nate loved playing with him and can't stop talking about him. Thanks Uncle John for hanging out with us!
